♦️ Poker Series Continues: Airtable Logic Gets Even Smarter
Ben is back at the table with Episode 4 of our Poker Series, where we use game-inspired builds to teach real-world Airtable logic.
This time, we go deeper into gameplay mechanics and automation strategies, showing how to:
Auto-advance turns using filtered views
Handle logic for raises, folds, and checks
Use linked records to manage order and flow
Debug Airtable loops like a pro
Whether you are building approval flows or project handoffs, these techniques are directly applicable to your business.
🃏 Think you can beat the logic?

🤓 Mini Lesson: Smarter Rollups with Linked Records
Want more value out of your linked records? Try this tip:
If you are tracking progress across multiple related records (like tasks, approvals, or steps), use a Rollup field + Formula combo to automatically show progress in your main table.
For example:
Link tasks to a project
Roll up the “Status” field
Use a formula to calculate % complete based on how many are marked “Done”
This is especially useful for:
Project dashboards
Client status updates
Team workload views
Bonus: You can trigger automations based on this rollup progress!
