From Enterprise Builds to Airtable Wins: What We're Excited About This Week

This week’s roundup: smarter workflows, better reporting, and a cooler full of bragging rights.

Welcome to this week’s Optimize IS Brief - your go-to for everything Airtable, ops, and optimization.

This week, we are showcasing what it really looks like when Airtable goes enterprise. From our latest user group session with Autodesk to building an app that won a Yeti cooler, we are continuing to push Airtable’s limits and helping other do the same.

Lets dive in!

User Group Recap: How Autodesk Streamlined Marketing Planning for 700+ Team Members

Last week, we announced something we are incredibly proud of:

During last week’s Marketing User Group Table Talk, we were joined by Marielle Covington of Autodesk and our own Jessica Tenzer and Ben Green to walk through a high-level use case: turning a disconnected, PowerPoint-based marketing planning process into a live, collaborative Airtable system used by hundreds of marketers across the globe.

In the session, we covered:

  • How to go from static templates to dynamic workflows

  • Why a “walk, jog, run” approach is critical for adoption

  • How Autodesk structured their integrated marketing plan using Airtable interfaces, forms, and managed apps

  • Ways they’re now using AI to summarize, scale, and report faster

Daretable 2025 is Coming - Are You In?

In case you missed the announcement, Daretable, the world’s largest Airtable conference, is now officially part of the Optimize IS family.

This October, we’ll be bringing the same magic and momentum to the next chapter of Daretable, with new speakers, sessions, and stories from the builders shaping the future of operations and Airtable.

Whether you are a low-code novice or a power user, you will walk away with actionable insights and new ways to optimize your systems.

Shark Tank-Style Build Wins a Yeti at Airtable LA

At Airtable’s flagship LA event, we built a fully playable poker game inside Airtable complete with custom cards, automated hand scoring, and a winner-picking AI, all using Omni and Airtable AI.

The format was Shark Tank-style judging and here is the results:

  • We took home the top prize and a brand-new Yeti cooler.

  • Judges loved how our build layered fun UX with deep backend logic.

  • Our team used Airtable AI not only to run the game but to build the app itself.

Shout-out to Kevin Dunn and Madeline Johannsen for the support, and congrats to the team for pushing the boundaries of what Airtable can do.

We use this checklist to upgrade Airtable’s workspaces from makeshift to mission-critical:

After taking a quick look at this checklist, let us know how your current system compares. Need a rebuild? We are here to help!

Must Watch YouTube: Tracking Task Timelines in Airtable

Ever needed to know how long a project actually took from start to finish? In this video, Ben shows how to build a date-based reporting system in Airtable that caculates task durations and helps you create automated dashboards.

You will learn:

  • How to structure date fields and automations

  • How to bild reports and dashboards for team performance

  • Tips for tracking bottlenecks and improving timelines

Perfect for project managers, ops leads, and marketing teams alike.
